Home Sweet Home

Stowford Barton has been a significant "home"  to many over the years among them :

Sir Thomas Williams, the first speaker of the House of Commons and the American 29th infantry division "the Bedford boys" during WW2 in the run up to the Normandy landings on Omaha Beach (Colleville-sur-mer).

There has been a property at this site "Esteforda" since medieval times, as mentioned in the Doomsday book (1086).

Stowford Barton is a 15th century manor house within Dartmoor National park, an area of outstanding natural beauty and near local beaches.  It is the perfect environment to improve your language skills, gaining fluency and confidence or simply to walk the 2 Moors Way and the  South West Coast Path.

We look forward to ensuring that your time with us is an exceptional experience.
